• High-speed spindles:
Maintaining the proper chip load during high-speed machining is crucial. The latest high-speed spindles from Haas provide cutting speeds of 10,000 rpm or 15,000 rpm, to take full advantage of the time savings and increased accuracy possible with today’s high-speed machining.

• Through-spindle coolant:
Optional through-spindle coolant operates via an auxiliary pump that supplies coolant at up to 300 psi (20 bar) to the cutting edge. This improves tool life and allows higher speeds, deep hole drilling and blind pocket milling. The result is high productivity and reduced cycle times. Haas engineers have designed a special seal, which disengages when the system is not in use. This exclusive design feature extends the life of the system. Note: This system provides 300 psi (20 bar) at a flow rate of 1.5 gallons (5.7 L) per minute and 250 psi (17 bar) at 4 gpm (15 Lpm). The actual pressure will vary with the diameter of the coolant passages in the tool.

• Linear scales:
When absolute positioning accuracy is necessary, linear scales are the only way to ensure exact axis positioning under the fluctuating conditions that exist in today’s machine shops. Linear scales ensure positioning accuracy along X, Y and Z axes by compensating for the thermal variations inherent in all machine tools. With 2-micron resolution, these scales deliver high accuracy for the type of precision that mold making and other high-tolerance machining applications demand.

LED Beacon Light
The Haas-designed beacon light uses two rows of ultra-bright LEDS that can be seen from anywhere in the shop. The LEDs generate very little heat and have a life expectancy of more than 10 years.

Color LCD Screen

Most machines use the jog handle only to move the axes around. On Haas machines, the jog handle can also be used in other modes to cursor through the program for faster editing, override spindle speeds and feedrates, or scan through offsets, parameters, etc.

One-Button Features
Common multi-step functions, such as powering up in the morning or setting tool offsets, have been reduced to the push of a single button.
