PROFILE
As a LMS project engineer, you will be working on Engineering projects for the Automotive, Aerospace and other Mechanical Industries as part of the LMS Engineering Services team in China.
Your job will include the following activities and responsibilities
• to perform tests and analyses in the field of noise, vibration & harshness (NVH) on-site at our customers in China or our LMS China office in Beijing
• to diagnose and solve NVH related problems within our vehicle development programs or other Engineering projects in China
• to work with the latest LMS software (e.g. LMS Test.Lab, LMS Virtual.Lab) and test systems (e.g. LMS Scadas) and to apply state-of-the-art LMS technologies and solutions within our Engineering projects
• to execute and manage tasks and complete projects according to the project plan, customer expectations and budget (including project planning – adaptation of the plan according to project requirements - reporting & presentations at customers)
• to work together with our multi-national project teams of test and CAE experts from different disciplines (such as NVH, Durability, Ride & Handling, Crash)
• to support the communication between our customers and the LMS offices in China, Europe and the US
The location of the work will be at the LMS China office in Beijing and on-site at the customer sites. The job requires a substantial amount of traveling within China and Europe (e.g. for training).
Desired profile
• Education background:
- Master degree (or equivalent) in Vehicle Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with specialization in NVH or Structural Dynamic
• The following technical competencies would be an asset
- Automotive test experience (ideally in NVH)
- Experience with multi-channel test sytems (ideally LMS Scadas)
- Experience with test software (ideally LMS Test.Lab or CADA-X)
• Specific personal competencies:
- Strong drive for results & learning
- Customer-oriented mind-set and way of working
- Able to take responsibilities and to work independently
- Initiative taking
- Good team player
- Excellent communication skills towards customers and colleagues
- Willingness and flexibility to travel within China and to Europe
• Languages:
- Good command of English in speaking, writing and reading
